Abstract:
Tendon and Bone Marrow Qigong is a centuries-old system of self-healing and strengthening, which has a profound effect on your energy and vitality.

Tendons and Muscles Qigong (Iron Shirt 2)

Tendons and Muscles Qi Gong invigorates qi & blood flow throughout the body. This qigong has a strong influence on the protective qi of the body, enhancing our immune system and increasing our flexibility and vitality. Nourishing the tendons mean working with acupuncture channels, blood vessels, tendons, muscles and the Qi that flows in them. These simple exercises make the tendons supple and strong while opening up the joints allowing for circulation of Qi and Blood, nourishing the body maintaining health. Tendon Changing Qi Gong connects bones and joints into a more unified single unit of movement, strengthening their connections allowing for more effective benefits of any qigong or Tai Chi form. This moving qigong releases toxins from the Tendo-Muscle channels. An excellent gigong preventative for arthritis, skeletal and musculature conditions. Can be included in any qigong warm up.

  • Learn the classic tendon and joint exercises that loosen and moisten the tendons and joints, promoting qi and blood circulation and enhancing health and vitality. These techniques are a powerful preventative for degenerative diseases and treatment for pain and can benefit people of all ages and most any health condition.
  • Learn the traditional Shao Lin form, gently and easy to learn. This is the classic form attributed to Da Mo and is one of the most popular Qi Gong forms practiced around the world. Many Qi Gong forms are based on this classic practice, including the Eight Pieces of Brocade (Ba Duan Jin). This can become part of your daily Qi Gong warm-up.
  • Learn to build defensive (Wei) qi, increasing resilience and reducing the chances of injury.

Bone Marrow Qigong (Iron Shirt 3)

Health and vitality is dependent on bone marrow and its ability to produce healthy red and white blood cell. During this retreat we learn classic Bone Marrow qigong and nei gong. These are gentle ways to cultivate bones, marrow, jing, qi, skeletal system, brain and red & white blood cells.

  • Learn to use your Yi or attention to guide qi throughout the energetic layers of the body, from the superficial layers of the skin, tendons and muscles to the middle layer of the fascia and internal organs to the deep layers of the bone, marrow and Jing to energize the body, bone and marrow, enhancing the body’s ability to produce higher quality of red and white blood cells.
  • Learn to use wire tappers, a simple, gentle, powerful method to stimulate all layers of the body to release Qi and open the pores of the bones, setting the environment to guide Qi into the bone and marrow.
  • Learn Bone Breathing to gather and guide qi into the bone and marrow, the internal layers of the body. This is a gentle method of combining the essentials of Medical Qi Gong: Intention, Breath and Body Posture.
